Go Deeper: Explore Mental Health Beyond the Classroom

Now that you've learned some key vocabulary and shared your own experiences, it’s time to explore the topic further on your own.

Mental health is a complex and important subject. To better understand it, we need to hear real stories, read different perspectives, and discover useful strategies.

Research & Reflect

Step 1: Choose One Focus Area
Use the internet, podcasts, articles, or YouTube to find information about one of the following topics (or another mental health topic that interests you):

  • Tips for managing stress or anxiety

  • What is burnout and how to recover from it

  • The importance of self-care in daily life

  • How to support someone dealing with depression

  • Maintaining emotional balance in a busy life

  • How social media can affect your mental health

Step 2: Take Notes

Write down:

  • 3 important things you learned

  • 2 new words or expressions

  • 1 idea or quote that inspired you

Step 3: Reflect & Share

Answer these questions in your notebook or on the blog:

  • What topic did you choose? Why?

  • What surprised or interested you the most?

  • What advice would you give a friend based on what you found?

Share your thoughts or findings with the class.

Remember:

Learning about mental health is also an act of self-care.
Take your time, be kind to yourself, and don’t be afraid to ask questions or accept your struggles.
